On September 22–23, 2026, we attended Info-Tech LIVE 2026 Barcelona with SAMU, one of the major international events bringing together IT leaders and technology decision-makers.
This year’s central theme was “Agentic IT: From Hype to Value.” A significant part of the presentations and professional discussions focused on how organizations can turn AI, automation, and emerging technologies into real, measurable business value.
From our EA tool SAMU’s perspective, it was particularly important to see Enterprise Architecture’s prominent role throughout the conference. According to Info-Tech’s approach, EA is increasingly moving beyond technology documentation and becoming a way to connect corporate strategy with execution. This includes creating transparency across complex IT landscapes, simplifying application portfolios, supporting technology decisions, and building effective transformation roadmaps.
This closely reflects the challenges that SAMU is designed to address. One of the key takeaways for us was that SAMU’s core direction – providing transparency across the IT landscape, managing application portfolios, and connecting architecture with business objectives – is strongly aligned with the challenges large organizations are currently facing.
The rapid development of AI makes this ever more relevant. To make effective use of AI, and particularly autonomous AI solutions, organizations need a clear understanding of their systems, data, integrations, and dependencies. A fragmented or poorly understood application landscape can quickly become a major obstacle to successful AI adoption.
The conference also provided an excellent opportunity to connect with international IT leaders, Enterprise Architecture professionals, and technology decision-makers, learn more about the challenges they are currently facing, and compare these with SAMU’s product and market direction.
Overall, Info-Tech LIVE Barcelona provided, not only professional inspiration, but also valuable market feedback. Organizations are increasingly looking for solutions that go beyond simply collecting information about their IT environment. They need tools that can turn this information into clear, actionable insights that support better decisions and measurable business value.
This direction will also play an important role in the continued development and international positioning of SAMU.
